Choose a cruiser or longboard.
Are you overwhelmed by the wide range of products at your first visit? cruisers? Don't worry, we'll show you the way. This way we will help you to tune your cruiser to the riding style you prefer.
As the board shop for boarders, we know exactly which cruiser board is right for you and we're happy to answer any questions you might have.
What's the difference between cruiser and longboards?
Longboards
Longboards Longboards are made to skate long distances and/or to reach high speeds. When selecting a longboard, your experience and style of skating are important.
We recommend beginners to buy a pintail longboard. They are very maneuverable and give you the necessary stability. These boards are ideal for taking your first steps in skateboarding.
Drop Through or Drop Down longboards are made for the real speed freaks. Experienced skaters often choose these longboards. The trucks are placed through the board and provide extra stability and grip at high speeds. These boards are mostly used to ride down mountains at high speeds.
Cruiser
Cruiser Skateboards are made to skate super smooth through the streets. They're between skateboards and longboards and look like the very first skateboards ever made.
A wide cruiser with a curved nose and tail can also be used in the bowl. A narrow, flat and light cruiser gives you the original feel of skating in the early days.
With a cruiser, the ground can be a little rougher. Because of the bigger and softer wheels, you can keep on riding without too much hindrance. And because you can pop it, no curb will stop you.
Complete cruiser or compound.
Beginning riders are probably better off with a complete cruiser. These boards are pre-assembled by the factory and have everything you need to get started right away. In terms of budget, these complete cruisers are cheaper.
Experienced riders can then put together their own cruiser setup. Some parts simply wear out faster than others. Once you have a complete set, you can simply buy the parts and replace them (or have them replaced).
Cruiser brands.
Because of the many brands, you might not be able to see the wood for the trees anymore. That's why we only sell brands in our online skate shop that we, as boarder, are satisfied with. For example, all brands of cruisers like Krooked, Santa Cruz, Dusters and more were tested and approved by our Stoked sponsored riders.
These brands are in stark contrast to the cheap plastic cruisers from toy stores that break very quickly and have parts that are not replaceable and uncontrollable. So choose a real skateboard brand so you can enjoy your favourite sport and keep learning.
Service for and by boarders.
Apart from specific advice and quality material at a cool price, you'll always get top service from us. We will install for free the different parts such as trucks, cruiser wheels and ball bearings that you buy at Stoked Boardshop. That is our service.
